The cottage is ideally situated for many different day trips out, the landing beaches are about 45 minutes drive and as well as being of historic interest they are fine beaches for walking and swimming

Walking

This is a beautiful area and the Orne vally has wonderful scenery.

There are some lovely walks in the area, from cliff top walks, forest walks to beach walks. For those who want to bring their dogs with them there are many restaurants that will allow dogs in so if you are out for a days walk with your dog there is usually no problem finding places to eat. Locally there are many little bars and restaurants down by the river.

Shopping at Caen market on a sunday morning is a delight with its fine array of fresh products, for anyone that is into seafood this is the place to shop
