Welcome to La Vannetiere

The pretty little cottage of La Vannetiere sits nestling in the heart of the Swiss Normandy countryside, in the valley of the Orne. Located in a quiet back lane the old stone built cottage part of which dates back to 1701, has been sympathetically renovated to maintain its beautiful rustic charm.

The beamed kitchen still has its original beams and large fireplace, making this room the heart of the house. Simply decorated but with modern appliances, the room still has a wonderful old world feel to it .

The living room is light and airy and also has its original beams, although this room is not as old as the kitchen. Off the lounge is a large spacious shower room with built in shower wash basin, toilet and washing machine.

Quite steep stairs lead from the lower entrance hall to the upper hallway with views out over the garden. Off the hallway is the large bedroom which has a double bed, bedside tables, shelf space and hanging area for clothes.

Outside in the summer the gardens are a beautiful haven for wildlife, where the ponds and fruit trees attract dragonflies and birds, A wonderful place just to sit and relax on a summers evening over a glass of excellent French wine.

La Vannetiere is a wonderful and traditional French cottage, an ideal place for a tranquil and  relaxing holiday.

The cottage sleeps a maximum of two and is not suitable for children. Dogs are welcome and there is even a field for your horse if you wish.
